The term bulk material refers to a grainy or chunky mixture in loose-fill form. The characteristics of bulk material are determined by the grain size, grain distribution, bulk density, repose angle, humidity and temperature.

Silos for storing cement

This refers to the concentration of dust in relation to volume flow on the clean gas side of the filter system and is usually stated in mg/m³.

Cleaning is performed according to a preset cycle. A cycle means that each quick-opening valve is cycled once. The number of cycles and pause times are determined according to the specific order and adapted to the respective process conditions.

Devices used to extract bulk material from storage containers

An option for extracting the dust cleaned by the filter elements from the filter system. The dust collection container is located under a funnel as a discontinuous discharge system. The dust collection container can only be emptied when the filter system is deactivated. The dust collection container can also be exchanged during operation when a locking device is integrated between the funnel and the dust collection container.

The storage technology handles storage and the internal transport of bulk materials.

Dust particles are retained on the surface of the filter medium for surface filtration. Dust particles form a filter cake, which takes over the actual filtration. Dust separation increases as the thickness of the filter cake layer increases. Differential pressure rises and volume flow decreases. Cleaning the filter elements counteracts the rising pressure and thus the reduction of the volume flow. Consistent suction conditions result during continuous cleaning for classic surface filtration at the bissinger filter.
